Understanding the issues pertaining to a veteran’s re-adjustment to civilian life is important not only for the veteran, but the family as well. During deployment, many families may have created new routines a veteran will have to adjust to once home. Reconnecting with family and re-establishing a role is imperative to the health of the veteran and their family system. Jade supports this process through dynamic family work that helps the family navigate through this time of change.

Our programming assists in:

As a medical doctor, a psychiatrist is qualified to prescribe medications to treat an array of mental health disorders including depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, insomnia, and attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). All mental health conditions requiring medication as part of the management would fall to a psychiatrist. However, combining medication with therapy can have improved results. The American Psychological Association adopted a resolution citing more than 50 peer-reviewed studies indicating While medication is appropriate in some instances, research shows that a combination of medication and psychotherapy is often most effective in treating depression and anxiety.

  • Managing the psychological effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, survivor guilt, and suicidal ideation.
  • Learning new coping skills for emotional regulation and mood management
  • Finding employment and career opportunities with our vocational programming
  • Addressing Neurocognitive issues associated with acquired and traumatic brain injury

Through integrative and comprehensive treatment services that address the re-adjustment needs of veterans and their families, Jade strives to offer state-of-the-art care that helps you overcome your obstacles.

  • Collaborating with medical providers to address chronic pain, exposure to hazardous materials during deployment, amputations, and rehabilitation care
  • Creating and joining a social community
  • Coping with the effects of Military Sexual Trauma

  • Supporting veterans in obtaining services and benefits
